Corpus Christi to Houston

This is our camp site in the "Woodlands" We love this area.

when you drive around the area, below is how beautiful the neighborhood is.

Mikey, Linda and their beautiful "A" student, Samantha!

Walter (aka Mathew) and Karl with their big catch of the day!

My bid sis, Mollie

Karl preparing his great pork dinner!

Mollie with her "Hanna"

Molli,Karl and their dear friend Vern. He is in his 80's...fish almost everyday and does not wear glasses. Great guy!

Had three great days with relatives in Corpus and Houston. Dinner with sister Mollie was fabulous,( friend Vern was there too!) and on Tuesday we had a fun (not productive) day of fishing on Corpus Christi bay with Mollie and Karl's friend, Walt (see pix of the monsters that were caught.) Walt and his wife Karen have a condo right on the water on North Padre Island and were the best hosts!
Traveled to Houston Wednesday to see JR's nephew Mike,Linda and Samantha. Guess what....had dinner at a super Mexican Tamale place....Surprise, surprise? They live in the Woodlands, which is about 20 miles north of Houston and is absolutely beautiful. If you think Houston is flat and dry, you should see our campsite....totally surrounded by beautiful 50-60 foot pine trees in a green park like setting.
Heading to Louisiana this morning; Lafayette, in the Bayou country, is our first stop and then on to New Orleans on Friday. Jazz Fest is this weekend and with Shelly bringing in some of the Westcoe gang.....well, let's get this party started!!!!
